Training your muscles to have the strength to resist force and momentum is as important as training your body for the strength to move stuff.
After all, what good is having the power to pick up an item (box, appliance, piano, etc.), if you lack the proper strength (or range of motion) to be able to set it down properly (or to get it under control if it starts to fall)?
Are you planning on holding that thing forever?
